YA'KE SMITH'S SHORT FILM DAWN SCREENS AT HOUSTON FILM COMMISSIONS FIRST THURSDAYS 07/03/2014
Exodus Filmworks presents the trailer for dawn., the new film directed by Ya'Ke and co-written by Ya'Ke and Mikala Gibson. After several prison stints, dawn is determined to right her wrongs, but the years locked away may have damaged her. The film stars Mikala Gibson in the title role with supporting performances by Nadine Mozon, Monica Pena, Marc Daratt, Dane Berkshire, Daniel Tanner, Nadine Marissa and Tyrees Allen. The short Film recently screened in New York at the American Black Film festival.
