Here is the list of winners list for the 2010 Texas Filmmakers Showcase. The films will be screened at the Director's Guild of America Theater in Los Angeles on June 25th, 2010. Harris County revealed it's proposal for the future of the former 8th Wonder of the World. It's now up to Houstonians on what will happen. The county would like to have a final decision by years end. B.C.F.N. will contiue to follow this story until a final decision is made.

KLRU has asked AFS to send a small group of volunteers to help take pledges during the broadcast of CITIZEN ARCHITECT and I'd like for you to join me. They asked us because the film is about Samuel Mockbee, a renowned architect who founded the Rural Studio. His daughter Sarah Ann works here at AFS! She helps put together those sneak peeks and premieres you all love so much. Besides that, the film was made by her husband, filmmaker Sam Douglas who made BOUND TO LOSE.. HOLY MODAL ROUNDERS and edited ALONG CAME KINKY. I'm excited by the opportunity to support my friends, AFS and KLRU and hope you will be too. 48HFP Houston is wrapping up as I write the this post with the wrap party happening tonight at Sherlock's on West Gray starting at 6:30 PM. Screenings will unspool all this month at the Studio Movie Grill in Town and Country. This year Houston had nearly 70 teams almost matching NYC which only goes to show how much creative talent we have in the Bayou City.
