IT'S A WRAP FOR THE 48HFP TODAY

48HFP Houston is wrapping up as I write the this post with the wrap party happening tonight at Sherlock's on West Gray starting at 6:30 PM. Screenings will unspool all this month at the Studio Movie Grill in Town and Country. This year Houston had nearly 70 teams almost matching NYC which only goes to show how much creative talent we have in the Bayou City. It is with great sadness that I have to report on the passing of Austin actress Maricela Ochoa Henderson. Ochoa lost her battle with breast cancer earlier today. Starting with a ABC After School Special in 1993 she has a pretty steady career in Los Angeles working on show like "Joan of Arcadia," "Missing Persons," "New York Undercover" and "ER." She also had worked in theater as well as several film before having to suspend her career in 2007.
