NATIVE HOUSTONIAN WINS EMMY AWARD

Jim Parsons who plays the character Dr. Sheldon Cooper on the CBS sitcom "The Big Bang Theory" won an Emmy Award earlier tonight. Parsons was a member of Houston's Infernal Bridegroom productions theater troop before making the move to hollywood. Congrats to Mr. Parsons on his win.

FOR WHOM HE TOLLS PREVIEW

"For Whom He Tolls" is the story of a young girl named Kayla, played by Lena Clark (Battle: Los Angeles, I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell) who comes back home to take care of her mentally ailing Memah, played by Houston's own Gina Brazell (the film was photographed by Gina's beau Larry McKee). With the help of a mysterious new neighbor, played by Lije Sarki (The Last Ride, Alphonso Bow, Rolling) and an at-home nurse played by Angela Ware (Friday Night Lights), they try to mend their relationship and find peace in a small east Texas farm house while dealing with eerie visions of a Man in a Suit, played by George Wilson (The Great Debaters). Audience members will be asked to fill out a short questionaire about the film following the screening.
