AUSTIN FILM SOCIETY RAISING FUNDS FOR KLRU THIS THURSDAY

KLRU has asked AFS to send a small group of volunteers to help take pledges during the broadcast of CITIZEN ARCHITECT and I'd like for you to join me.

They asked us because the film is about Samuel Mockbee, a renowned architect who founded the Rural Studio. His daughter Sarah Ann works here at AFS! She helps put together those sneak peeks and premieres you all love so much. Besides that, the film was made by her husband, filmmaker Sam Douglas who made BOUND TO LOSE.. HOLY MODAL ROUNDERS and edited ALONG CAME KINKY. I'm excited by the opportunity to support my friends, AFS and KLRU and hope you will be too.

We need to be at KLRU from about 5:30 - 8:30, there will be some snacks and they validate parking :) If you have any questions or are ready to sign up, just let me know either here or at agnes@austinfilm.org.

Worried about missing the screening? There will be a screening with special guests in July if you want to catch the movie...
