Join us on Thursday May 6th when NALIP Houston presents a hysterical evening with native Houstonian, NALIP member and award-winning Screenwriter/Animator/Filmmaker Yehudi Mercado IN ATTENDANCE!. From the sweet Separate Vacations to the true tale of Porn Editor (for Mature Audiences!) to his award-winning screenplay Buffalo Speedway, it'll be a wild ride of an evening getting to know Yehudi.
The first Thursdays short film evening is always a great networking opportunity or simply a chance to get together with or meet new filmmakers and creative people. This FREE evening is not to be missed because you won't get to see these film anywhere else! Please arrive early, screening begins promptly at 8:00PMish.

* Separate Vacations (3:15 min.) - A dog owner, boarding her dog before leaving on vacation, is thrown a curve by a form required by the kennel.
* Monster Job Hunter (9:00 min.) - Morgan Aquinaldo is out-of-work, emasculated by his wife, socially awkward and is about to experience the job interview from hell.
* Porn Editor (Animator, 8:54 min.)- An animated look at what goes on in the world of adult entertainment after the camera stops rolling. *HBO Short Film Festival - Top five finalist and runs on HBO regularly
* Mock Trial (13:00 min. preview) - A Barely Legal Comedy about a High School Lawyer. *NALIP Producers Academy - Selected Project in 2008
* Buffalo Speedway (preview) - In the summer of 1994 one pizza outpost delivered the most pizzas ever while the world watched OJ's slow speed chase. Buffalo Speedway follows five drivers who chased destiny as they compete for Turbo Pizza's Top Driver Race. *Final Draft Big Break Screenplay Contest - Second Place, Feature-length Live-action Comedy 2006

NALIP's 2010 Latino Producers Academy is now accepting applications for the August program in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
