In this darkly lit video film critic interviews writer director David Pomes. David's film "Cook County" was screened at the Landmark River Oaks Theater last night. In the clip he talks a little bit about how the film's cast was brought together. "Cook County" is a pretty intense family drama that's definately worth seeing. It screens again on Tuesday, August, 25th at LROT.
FALLEN STAR - MARICELA OCHOA-HENDERSON
It is with great sadness that I have to report on the passing of Austin actress Maricela Ochoa Henderson. Ochoa lost her battle with breast cancer earlier today. Starting with a ABC After School Special in 1993 she has a pretty steady career in Los Angeles working on show like "Joan of Arcadia," "Missing Persons," "New York Undercover" and "ER." She also had worked in theater as well as several film before having to suspend her career in 2007. Ochoa leaves behind her husband, family and hundreds of friends.
