The 17th Annual 2015 Gulf Coast Film & Video Festival has concluded its 2015 season and is currently getting prepared for the 18th Annual 2016 Festival.

Organizer and the Director of the Gulf Coast Film & Video Festival, Mr. Hal Wixon is pleased to announce the official 2015 Winners List.

Best Feature Film:  “Beta Centauri” by Director Daniel R. Poulson
Best Documentary Film: “Sweethearts of the Gridiron” by Director Chip Hale
Best Dramatic Film: “Charlie” by Director Shawn Ryan
Best Comedy Film: “What If My Wife Died in Yoga Class” by Director Jeffrey Williams
Best Standard Film (films over 15-mins but less than 59-mins) “The Kid” by Director David Scott Heck
Best Screenplay: “The Border” by Writer/Novelist Norman Ray Fitts
Best of Festival Film: “If I Could Talk” by Director Shawn Welling
The Lifetime Achievement Award: Actor Lew Temple

It is with great sadness that I have to report on the passing of Austin actress Maricela Ochoa Henderson. Ochoa lost her battle with breast cancer earlier today. Starting with a ABC After School Special in 1993 she has a pretty steady career in Los Angeles working on show like "Joan of Arcadia," "Missing Persons," "New York Undercover" and "ER." She also had worked in theater as well as several film before having to suspend her career in 2007.
