46TH ANNUAL WORLDFEST HOUSTON INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL


Worldfest Houston kicks off today and runs through April 21, 2013. The opening night film will be "Filly Brown" with Lou Diamond Phillips, Edward James Olmos, Gina Rodriguez & Chrisie Fit. 51 award-winning Indie feature films, 107 great short films, 550 Indie filmmakers from around the globe, 6 Master Classes, One Grand Awards Gala & Cocktail Reception with the filmmakers, 2 Closing Day events ~ WorldFest Consular Regatta at HYC & VIP NASA/Space Center Houston Tour & Texas BBQ.

It is with great sadness that I have to report on the passing of Austin actress Maricela Ochoa Henderson. Ochoa lost her battle with breast cancer earlier today. Starting with a ABC After School Special in 1993 she has a pretty steady career in Los Angeles working on show like "Joan of Arcadia," "Missing Persons," "New York Undercover" and "ER." She also had worked in theater as well as several film before having to suspend her career in 2007.
