TEXAS INDEPENDENT FILM NETWORK SCREENING 03/04 @ MFA-H
Many people regard 1974's The Texas Chainsaw Massacre as Tobe Hooper's feature debut. Not so. In 1969, native Texan Hooper gathered a ramshackle crew and a young cast to make Eggshells, a surreal, psychedelic drama about undergraduates sharing a house in Austin. The previously thought 'lost' cult masterpiece has been restored and is getting its first public screenings in forty years.
