HOUSTON FILM RACE 2010

Can you make a movie in 24 hours?



The 2nd annual Houston Film Race will be challenging local filmmakers to create an original short film (4 minutes max) in just 24 hours from Friday, October 1st to Saturday, October 2nd. All of the completed films will premiere for the public on Tuesday, October 5th at the River Oaks Theatre and the best films will advance into a nationwide competition for over $30,000 in cash and prizes.

It is with great sadness that I have to report on the passing of Austin actress Maricela Ochoa Henderson. Ochoa lost her battle with breast cancer earlier today. Starting with a ABC After School Special in 1993 she has a pretty steady career in Los Angeles working on show like "Joan of Arcadia," "Missing Persons," "New York Undercover" and "ER." She also had worked in theater as well as several film before having to suspend her career in 2007.
