We have extended our final Entry Deadline to January 31, 2009. Your entry must reach us by then. We offer competition for the coveted Remi award in 12 major categories; Features, Shorts, Docs, TV Production, Music Videos, Student, Screenplays, TV Commercials, Business Films, Experimental, Film & Video Production, & New Media.

It is with great sadness that I have to report on the passing of Austin actress Maricela Ochoa Henderson. Ochoa lost her battle with breast cancer earlier today. Starting with a ABC After School Special in 1993 she has a pretty steady career in Los Angeles working on show like "Joan of Arcadia," "Missing Persons," "New York Undercover" and "ER." She also had worked in theater as well as several film before having to suspend her career in 2007. The International Juries have completed their work and we are contacting the Remi Award Nominees this week. All Short and Feature Films/Videos are now selected for screening at the upcoming 43rd Annual WorldFest-Houston International Film Festival - April 9-18, 2010 at the AMC Studio 30 Flagship Theater. www.worldfest.org
