FIRST THURSDAY FILM SCREENING

Every first Thursday of the month we will have a FREE screening of award-winning Texas-made short film entries from the Houston Film Commissions Texas Filmmakers Showcase or from other film festivals. The one hour-ish screenings will begin at 8:30PM at Dean's Credit Clothing, 316 Main Street (between Preston & Congress). Come see some great films that you may never get to see again or to just talk film in the comfort of the hippest venue downtown. It is with great sadness that I have to report on the passing of Austin actress Maricela Ochoa Henderson. Ochoa lost her battle with breast cancer earlier today. Starting with a ABC After School Special in 1993 she has a pretty steady career in Los Angeles working on show like "Joan of Arcadia," "Missing Persons," "New York Undercover" and "ER." She also had worked in theater as well as several film before having to suspend her career in 2007.
